By Allstate Identity Protection

For many families, elder fraud is a growing concern. Our Elder Fraud Center is here to help. It’s a free and easy-to-use resource hub packed with helpful articles, tips, and more. New research shows that elder fraud is on the rise — and the results can be devastating.

In 2021, the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center received thousands of fraud complaints from victims over the age of 60, resulting in $1.7 billion in losses. For individuals, the financial stakes can be high: during the same time period, the FBI says the average loss per victim was more than $18,000.

If you’re concerned about elder fraud in your family, we’re here for you.

If you’re a member, know that our identity specialists are specially trained in accessibility and elder care. They can help older adults navigate technology, determine if something is a scam, and begin the recovery process should fraud occur.

But anyone can access our Elder Fraud Center: a free, easy-to-use online resource designed to support older adults and families in the fight against elder fraud.

Here’s how you can get started and make the most of our new resource hub today.
