In this article, we’ll go over some of the great new features that we’ve added to our plans in 2025, including an identity fraud finder, personal coaching, and more, as well as a sneak peek at what’s coming in 2026.
For scammers and identity thieves, the work of tricking unsuspecting victims and stealing information and funds is never done. They’re constantly coming up with new schemes and tactics in their never-ending quest to secure their next big pay day. But there’s good news—the team at Allstate Identity Protection doesn’t rest either.
We’re always evolving our plans to help our members avoid scams and identity theft, and if the worst does happen, ensure they can recover as quickly and easily as possible. Here are some of the new features that we’ve added to our benefit in the last year:
Even the most savvy internet users need help identifying fraud schemes sometimes. With our identity fraud finder, our members can get step-by-step guidance on what to do when they suspect they’re being targeted by identity thieves.
Here’s how it works: Members navigate to the Identity Restoration tab in the Allstate Identity Protection portal—under Guidance, they will click “Start our survey”. This will open a survey that will ask members about their situation, including what happened, how the incident happened, and other qualifying questions.
Once the survey is complete, members will receive direct guidance on how to move forward and what steps to take to further investigate the circumstances.
We understand that when a member is in the middle of an incident, they may want to speak with a real human directly to address their questions and concerns.
That’s why when a member has an open restoration case, they now have the ability to schedule an appointment with their restoration specialist directly within the member portal in just a few clicks. Plus, members can also visit their portal to message with the specialist working on their case, quickly and securely.
With access to social media accounts, scammers and fraudsters can wreak untold havoc. This can include gathering confidential information from friends and followers, using the profile to post damaging or inappropriate content, or using the account to gain access to other accounts.
By adding TikTok and Snapchat to our social media monitoring feature, members can further protect their social media presence from digital criminals and stop fraud schemes before they begin.
Ensuring our members can recover from a range of identity theft types is a key part of our mission to protect them from the financial damage caused by fraud. We’ve increased our identity theft reimbursement to $2 million for our Pro+ plan and $5 million for our Pro+ Cyber plan, ensuring that if identity theft does happen, we can help our members avoid the out-of-pocket costs associated with a variety of incidents.
These costs include lost wages, legal fees, stolen funds, and other costs.
The right education is the first step in fighting back against scammers and fraudsters—and what better way than to learn from the experts? With our new personal coaching feature, members can get one-to-one coaching from identity theft experts and get the information and tips they need to outsmart even the most devious criminals. Members have the option to choose from three session topics: elder fraud, scams, and your features. They will then be asked to schedule a time for our coaches to meet with them and complete the coaching session.
We’ll also be adding new sessions in 2026, so keep an eye out for more content in this tool.
Our team has been hard at work coming up with several new features and enhancements to help our members secure their digital experience, protect them from the evolving threat landscape, and insulate them from the significant fallout that scams and fraud can cause.
Here are some of the exciting features and improvements that you can expect from Allstate Identity Protection for January 2026:
While some scams and fraud schemes are complex and take days, weeks, or months of planning, some start with a simple email. With our email threat detection, our platform will automatically detect scam and fraud emails, helping our members recognize malicious emails and stop criminal efforts dead in their tracks.
The ability to manage your digital presence and who has access to information like your name, address, email address, credit card information, and other information is a critical aspect of preventing digital crimes like identity theft and scams. Our new data removal tool automatically searches the web for a member’s information and requests that it be removed, making it effortless for members to manage their digital presence and protect their privacy.
Let’s face it—scammers and fraudsters are endlessly creative, and their schemes are becoming more and more convincing each day. And there’s worse news—if you are a victim of a scam, recovering your stolen funds may be very difficult without additional protections.
Our scam reimbursement will cover the financial fraud losses associated with a cybercrime event and will help our members better protect their finances from the financial impacts of scams, digital crimes, and social engineering.
This reimbursement covers a range of scam-related financial losses, including data recovery and system restoration, cryptocurrency crime, and ransomware payments. This new reimbursement coverage has been added alongside our existing identity theft reimbursement coverage, providing even more financial protection from scams and fraud.
Today’s children are spending more time online than ever before with the average teen spending upwards of four hours per day on social media. This places them at a higher risk for one of the most dangerous online threats—cyberbullying.
Cyberbullying can create a situation where a child receives a constant barrage of emotional abuse online and at school, resulting in an environment where the child has no escape from the abuse. We recognize that recovering from cyberbullying can be a long and expensive process, so we’ve added cyberbullying reimbursement coverage to our plans to help members make the recovery effort as seamless and stress-free as possible.
This reimbursement covers a range of costs related to cyberbullying recovery, including psychological support for the child, the cost of switching schools, hiring a private investigator, and other costs.
Although identity thieves often target adults, criminals often expand their efforts to children as well. In fact, identity theft involving children has surged by 40 percent over the past three years, with an estimated 1.1 million children impacted by identity fraud, or 1 in 50.
To help address this increasingly common threat, we’re adding a new child credit check topic to our personal coaching feature. During this session, we’ll guide our members on how check with the credit unions to see if a credit file exists for a minor, which is a sure sign of child identity theft.
If the child credit check does discover a credit file for a minor, we’ll open a restoration case for the impacted minor and take all the necessary steps and precautions to prevent further damage from being done.
While many people expect to receive the occasional phishing email or scam call, they may not realize that these forms of communication are not the only vectors for scams and cyberattacks. In fact, any notification on your devices can contain malicious or fraudulent links.
That’s why we’re adding mobile scam alerts. These alerts warn members when links in text messages, messenger apps, calendar links, or other notifications are dangerous, helping our members avoid clicking on links that are the first step in a cyberattack or scam.
The digital world is fraught with dangers—and there are few threats that are as pervasive as cyberattacks. These attacks are incredibly common, with 600 million cyberattacks across the world each day in 2024. And with cyberattacks like phishing and malware just a click away, having reliable cybersecurity on all your devices is more important than ever.
To ensure our members can protect a wide range of devices, we’ll be increasing the number of devices covered by our cybersecurity tools, to 10 devices per individual plan and 10 devices per covered adult with no limit on how many adults can be covered under a family plan. Powered by Bitdefender™, a cutting-edge third-party cybersecurity solution, our cybersecurity protection has comprehensive coverage to protect our members’ devices from several cybersecurity threats, from phishing and malware to malicious websites, rootkits, and more.
Here at Allstate Identity Protection, we’re constantly coming up with new ways to better serve our members and create new innovations in the identity and scam protection space. For more information on how we’re evolving our solution, visit our Business Hub page or contact our sales team.
